Hysteroscopy Endosee® Advance System

1. What is hysteroscopy?

Hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that involves visualizing the uterine cavity using a device called a hysteroscope, with access to the uterine cavity being achieved through the cervical canal. Hysteroscopy can be performed for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.

2. In what situations is it indicated?

✓ Investigating the causes of infertility
✓ Before the IVF procedure, if an intrauterine pathology is suspected
✓ Failures of the IVF procedure
✓ Recurrent miscarriage
✓ Abnormal vaginal bleeding
✓ Abnormal/changed results of the Pap test
✓ Suspicion of uterine malformations - Müllerian anomalies, septate uterus, bicornuate uterus
✓ In cases of abnormalities discovered by ultrasound: uterine fibroid, uterine adhesions, endometrial polyp, endometrial hyperplasia

Advantages of the Endosee® Advance System Hysteroscope (CooperSurgical, USA):

All-in-one: The device includes everything necessary for direct visualization in diagnostic and treatment procedures.

Minimally invasive: this hysteroscope is revolutionary, being portable, minimally invasive, and offering high safety and simplicity in use.

Minimally traumatic: for examination, a very thin (<5 mm) single-use flexible cannula is used, which is why the procedure is less traumatic. It can be performed in an office setting, without cervical dilation and anesthesia.

Excellent visualization: the procedure involves the use of a video camera and a light source, ensuring excellent visualization of the uterine cavity and endometrium.

3. What are the risks and complications?

Hysteroscopy is a safe procedure and in most cases does not involve adverse effects or complications.

In the first few hours after hysteroscopy, there may be cramps or light bleeding that can last 1-2 days. However, in less than 1% of cases, the following complications can occur:
• Abnormal reaction to medication, or complications due to anesthesia: allergy, hypotension, respiratory distress, cardiovascular disorders;
• Hemorrhage;
• Infection;
• Perforation of the uterus and neighboring organs.

4. What is the price of the procedure?

At Alternativa Clinic, the portable hysteroscope Endosee® Advance System is used, which allows for diagnostic and treatment procedures.

Procedure price - 7,000 MDL
